MailChimp Activity Syncing

Since version 7.1.0 in the Ultimate and Professional editions of SugarChimp, true MailChimp Activity syncing has been added as a feature. We've spent a lot of time and effort in developing the activity sync so that it runs smoothly, behind the scenes and does not affect the performance of your SugarCRM instance.

Having Activity Data in SugarCRM lets you do the following:

  • Use Sugar Reports to pair MailChimp Activity data with other CRM-related data (ex. Show me all New Leads that clicked a link from a specific MailChimp Campaign AND was sent a letter in the mail from another campaign that lives in CRM)
  • Setup Sugar Workflows based on MailChimp Activity data (ex. When a new activity comes in, send a Sugar notification to a Sales person to followup)
  • With the data in Sugar, you can enable your Sugar users (sales, marketing, support, etc.) to be creative and find news ways to use and pair the data with what you already have in CRM.

When you install the Professional edition, SugarChimp's scheduler gradually goes through each of your previously sent campaigns that have been sent in the last 30 days and imports the Activity records.

Difference between Activity Data in SugarChimp Professional and Basic

Both the Subscriber Activity Dashlet and the Campaign Summary Dashlet are available in all editions of SugarChimp, but only SugarChimp Ultimate and Professional include the SugarChimp Activity module. The dashlets fetch the data from MailChimp on-demand when you view them, but the data in the SugarChimp Activity module is actually imported from MailChimp into Sugar so that you can use Sugar Reports and Workflows.

Other features, such as Lead Scoring are also only available in the Ultimate and Professional Editions.
